American Diabetes Wholesale Newsletter Review: December 19, 2007

December 20th, 2007 by Eric, Web Department

Well, the last week before the big holidays is finally here, which means that 2007 is drawing to a close. I don’t about you, but it seems like it was just yesterday that we were bringing in the New Year from 2006!

This week’s edition of American Diabetes Wholesale’s Newsletter addresses an issue that many should consider at this time of year, the glycemic index of foods. There are parties you may attend in the next few days, and you’re sure to encounter many different types of food challenges on the platters. With knowledge of the glycemic index (or GI), you’ll be better prepared to know which foods to avoid, or at least eat in moderation. Check out the article “Glycemic Index: Why it’s beneficial for people with Diabetes” for an overview of how to familiarize yourself with these nutritional guidelines.

Holiday time means sweet tooth time, so why not take a look at our new line of sugar free and low sugar candies by D-Lectable? Everything from candy-coated peanuts to chocolate covered espresso beans to capuccino-flavored hard candies are available, and they make a great healthy gift for someone close to you (or maybe even yourself)!

Do you need a tasty treat to bring to one of the upcoming shindigs? Take a look at the recipe for Mini Cheesecake Bars, and you’ll be the hit of the party!

American Diabetes Wholesale Works With Free Clinics to Keep Diabetes Management Affordable

December 3rd, 2007 by Chris - Customer Relations

Free clinics throughout the country are dedicated to providing care to those who are in need. The majority of clinics are non-profit organizations funded by donations, and some grant money to accomplish their goals: blood tests, blood glucose screenings, providing prescription medications, and in some cases, providing diabetes testing supplies.

Aware of clinics’ needs for these diabetic supplies, American Diabetes Wholesale is dedicated to providing these supplies, as well as remaining the best resource for the patients in need of diabetic supplies. American Diabetes Wholesale has made multiple donations to organizations like these, and will continue to do so in the future.

By working directly with certified diabetes educators, clinics, and other diabetes programs, American Diabetes Wholesale is staying committed to keeping diabetes management affordable!
