American Diabetes Wholesale Newsletter Review: April 10, 2008

Bitter melon is a tropical fruit used in many foreign countries for its health benefits, as well as culinary flavorings. The study indicates that bitter melon in its various forms (extract, tea, etc.) may have a positive effect on AMPK, an enzyme that regulates metabolism and aids in the body’s glucose absorption.
