This week’s edition of the American Diabetes Wholesale Newsletter is here! To start things off, we included a great article about a recent study on bitter melon and diabetes. Bitter melon is a tropical fruit used in many foreign countries for its health benefits, as well as culinary flavorings. The study indicates that bitter melon in its various forms (extract, tea, etc.) may have a positive effect on AMPK, an enzyme that regulates metabolism and aids in the body’s glucose absorption. Check out the article, “What is Bitter Melon?” for more information!
This week’s Product Spotlight puts Blood Sugar Supplements into focus. American Diabetes Wholesale carries a wide range of these types of diabetic products, such as GSL Sugar Balance, and Diabetiks Multi-Vitamin by Nature’s Benefit. Many people have heard of the benefits of cinnamon on diabetes, and we also have products to meet those needs too. If you’re interested, be sure to check out Cinnamon Supreme Blood Sugar Support and Cinnamon Supreme!
Finally, this week’s recipe is a delicious meal that has it all: veggies, protein, and lots of flavor. It’s an old favorite: Chicken Cacciatore over Pasta. Cook this one up, and enjoy the smiles!
Our newsletter is free, and if you haven’t enrolled yet, be sure to - you are missing out on some great information and valuable savings on your diabetes supplies!

Ouch! Sunburn, but I like the way it looks. Finally, this past Saturday it was actually nice and I got to go to the beach. Then yesterday I had a half day of work to catch up on school work, so I took my book out by the pool and took advantage of the weather. I hope this weekend it is cold at night because I am going “camping.” I put the word in quotes because it’s not like some real nature trail camping, its sleeping in a tent, but cooking with a grill, and having a real bathroom, and all the good things of being at home.
The diet is done already, I made it to Tuesday night, not bad, 2 days this week. I will have some time to work out starting next week. My parents are visiting in less then a month, so I know I will be eating very unhealthy while they are here. I’m very excited for them to come, plus I finish up my finals a few days before that, and the summer class I am taking is online, so I never have to go back to a classroom again!!!
And sorry, but no bowling and blogging Friday tomorrow. Maybe a camping and blogging.

It’s Friday again, time for a little bowling and blogging. I set up my brand new fish tank this week with 8 new fish. The water is still a little cloudy, but then again so is my head. Last weeks bowling was not that great, but then again I didn’t bowl the week before, so I was out of my flow. I had one good game of 179, which was higher then my blood sugar of 119, getting better.
I just signed up for my final class in order to graduate. One final online class in the first half of the summer and then I walk down and get my degree, and by the way start studying for the GMAT.
I am getting low on my pump supplies. I opened up my last box of my resevoirs, and I thought I had another package coming, but somehow the automatic shipment was on hold, so luckily I called to find out when my next shipment will be sent. I have about 3-4 reservoirs left to last me until April 14th. I should be fine, since I am “dieting” and I’m not using as much insulin as I did when I was eating 8 tacos from Taco Bell or 5 burgers from Checkers.
It has been beautiful all week long, so I want to go to the beach this weekend, but lets see, any takers that it is going to rain alll damn weekend so I can’t go to the beach? I’ll let you know how it went on Monday.
