Welcome

June 25th, 2007 by Chris S

Living a life with diabetes can be fun, happy, sad, frustrating, or wonderful, just like the life of everybody else. Although we do face several challenges on a daily basis, those challenges do not have to make life miserable or unhappy. When I first became diagnosed, thats the way I thought life was going to be from now on. Pricking my finger 5 times a day, taking shots at every meal, not being able to enjoy sugary foods anymore, the thoughts of this gave me nightmares my first few nights in the hospital. After now living with diabetes for over 4 years now, I realized all those nightmares were just that, nightmares. I have not had to many things in my life. Playing sports is no problem like I thought it would be. Sugary desserts?, No problem, I find sugar-free desserts even better. My blog will continue to give you everyday situations that can and will arise in the life of a diabetic. Please, if at anytime you have any questions about difficulties, and how to overcome then, post a comment and I will be happy to help in any way that I can.
