Move in time, well maybe not
August 9th, 2007 by Chris SI’m all packed and ready to move into the new apartment tomorrow, all excited. I bought new furniture, tv, appliances, and then the phone call comes in…. You can’t move in tomorrow without a co-signor, since your fresh out of college. “Ok, so I’m just supposed to live on the streets for a few days as a diabetic?”
Some people are so set in their ways and have no care about anybody, diabetic or not. The leasing community is rich and has a lot of money, and they don’t care about us little people down on the food chain. I’m tired of all of this stuff, and the worst part is, is that I am still not testing the right amount of time.
But on a better note, the Eagles have their first pre-season game on Monday the 13th. McNabb is doing a lot better since his injury last year. I feel his pain, I tore my ACL in the middle of a football game in college also, its a long and hard rehab process. McNabb is also very committed to the fight for a cure for diabetes also. He has people in his family that are diabetic, and I attended a a golf tournament a few years back that he held in order to raise money to find a cure.
Its one thing to just sign a check and say, ok I contributed, compared to someone who will go to work and do more then just sign a check and put their name out there for publicity. McNabb is one of the celebrities that will get down and dirty and do whatever it is he can to help find a cure. Like I have said before, it takes more than just money in order to find a cure. It takes the committment to do it also. It is good to know and to see people with the money showing a little bit of committment.
It also makes it better that he is the best quartback in the NFL, playing for the best team in the NFL.
