And Football Season Begins
September 5th, 2008 by Chris SThis weekend marks the beginning of the Eagles football season. Along with that comes blood sugars that range all over the place during the games. They shoot up and down and left and right. When it’s a close game, it is even worse. A new season comes with a new chance to do things differently, so this year, i WILL bring my meter to the bar with me to watch the game. It should be an easy game, but who knows.
Anyway, I have been tracking Ike all day today, and it seems that the latest advisory and tracking pattern is more soemthing I was wanting to see, that it looks like it will be missing us down here in South Florida. I still haven’t received my A1c results yet, and I got the bloodwork done last Thursday. I called my doctor and she told me that she hasn’t received them yet, but Quest Diagnostics told me that they faxed them to her already, and that they will re-fax it over. I was a little excited to see these results because I think that I did better.
The weight loss is coming along, slowly, but surely. I am down about 4-5 pounds since 2 weeks ago when I started running again. The only problem that I am having is still the snacking and munching. I am eating smaller meals, but then I am starving, and I cant fight the hunger, so I am picking at little things. Also, I haven’t done any serious running in almost 2 years, so I can barely even make it a mile on the treadmill, so I am not burning too many calories. I don’t want to start lifting yet because I want to lose the weight first, then build back muscle.
Well, I must get going now, ya’ll have a wonderful day.
